Hi! I’m Haley, I’m a fourth generation Floridian and I’m very proud of my deep roots in the state. The Image shows my great-great-great grandparents in front of their little home in Bell, FL— circa 1901.

I started working with clay seriously back in 2012 while pursuing my undergraduate degree.

My professional background is in Biology, mostly marine with some terrestrial work, where I studied native flora and fauna of Florida.

I have always enjoyed using earthy tones and textures in my work that remind me of home. When I made the jump to work on ceramics full time in 2024, part of me was mourning the departure from the science world. I knew I wanted to incorporate my science background and love of Florida into my work— and thus Floridian Ceramics was born.
